Married To The Sea and Natalie Dee, Oh My

So there’s this husband and wife duo that run … I think it’s four internet comics now.  I don’t really follow the two run primarily by Drew, but these two are generally hilarious, and sadly often a little too crude for my taste. Nevertheless, I sense a bit of genius copying from genius:

Incidentally, both of these remind me of an interesting “game” in Sally Fallon’s epic Nourishing Traditions, called “Know Your Ingredients.” Dispersed throughout the text are 48 lists of industrial processed food ingredients. At the end of the book, an appendix lists the brand names of the foods. See if you can guess the following (picked at random):

Are you ready? The second, I think was probably too easy, given that its second ingredient was actually mushrooms. It is, of course, Campbell’s Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom Soup (99% Fat Free, 1/3 less salt, low cholesterol, 60 calories, no MSG). The first is … drumroll please … Hostess Twinkies. And the last item, number 3 in the book, is Wish Bone Thousand Island Dressing. Yum-O, as a certain tv food personality would say.
